CONCLUSIONS: Maternal weight status before, during, and after pregnancy contributes to interindividual variation in human milk composition. Continuing work will assess the role of these and other milk bioactive factors in altering infant metabolic outcomes.

CONCLUSIONS: A higher BMI is associated with shorter telomeres, especially in younger individuals. The presently observed difference is not negligible. Meta-analyses of longitudinal studies evaluating change in body weight alongside change in TL are warranted.

CONCLUSIONS: In VPT infants, early FFM gains are associated with faster SOP, whereas post-discharge FM gains are associated with higher BPs at 4 yrs. This shows birth to 4 mos CGA is a sensitive period for growth and its relation to neurodevelopmental and metabolic outcomes. Close monitoring and early nutritional adjustments to optimize quality of gains may improve outcomes.

CONCLUSIONS: Compared with all Minnesotans, the Hmong have an increased incidence of cancers related to infectious agents. These findings indicate a need for cancer prevention and screening programs in this population.
